Why I Created Miss My Best Friend

I've been in the pet business for over 10 years. In that time, I've watched so many people lose their pets — and it's not only heartbreaking for them, but also for me. Because they were all part of my family too.

I wanted to create something I could give them. And everyone else who has lost a pet recently, or who finds themselves thinking about their pet today — because something happens that makes you miss your best friend. And that's what they are to all of us. Our best friend. Family.

Every moment with them is the best moment.

When I knew my Stevie was in his final stages of lung cancer after a two-year battle, I started recording everything. His cough. His breathing. His bark. I cut hair from his tail and saved it. I even had his cells cloned and stored cryogenically.

Why? Because I want the memory of my best friend to live on forever. As if he's still here with me.

That's why I created Miss My Best Friend. For everyone who knows this feeling — or who wants to send something meaningful to a friend or family member whose pet is no longer here.
